once....

my husband and i watched this movie a couple weeks ago. i had no idea what the movie was going to be about, nor had i heard anything about it.

i haven't been able to stop thinking about it and how much i really enjoyed it! glen and marketa's voices are incredible!

not sure if any of you watched the oscar's but i was soooo excited to see these guys win

if you haven't seen this movie - you've got to rent it! wonderful!

but i will say...you need to be in the right mood.

and just a forewarning - they like the f*** word. but so do i....so it made me giggle a little bit! ha!

the un-goodbye's

some of our friends decided that we all needed to get together one last time before we head out of town. so we all got together last week at pizza palace for a little "un-goodbye" party! it was soooo nice to see everyone one last time! thanks kat and zach for organizing this! and thanks everyone for one last "see ya later!"

we missed a couple people for pictures - bummer! Holly & Chris, and Justice & Caron, hope we didn't miss anyone else!

we'll miss everyone - "fo sho!" can't wait to have each of you come visit us in the atl!!!

btw....you're probably wondering what the heck the empty jar of classico is doing with sticks and grass in it! it's definitely a little inside joke - but i'll share briefly!
one time.....a lizard got into our house. we don't like lizards! especially my husband! so it was a little weird to go to bed at night, for fear that little lizzy may come and run over us! yikes! something woke ben up in the middle of the night. so he went to get himself a glass of water and go figure...lizzy decided to show her little self. so ben screamed "the lizard" at 2 am and woke me out of my slumber. i came running into the kitchen and that dang lizard taunted us for about 2 hours - until we chased it into a vent and taped it shut! HA!!! that's what you get you little lizard...for taunting us! the next day we had small group at our house and everyone was wondering what the heck the tape was doing on our vent. we've never lived it down! so our nice friends nate & taylor decided they were going to give us a sweet little something to help us remember florida! thanks guys!!!!

**side note - i promise i'm not cruel to animals! only lizards that decide to taunt me in the middle of the night.

i bought some new texture overlays earlier this week and i was sooo excited to use them! i love them! thanks to nichole v. at flourish!

i had a *love* session with our good friends barry and cynthia this saturday morning. we sure are going to miss you guys! please come play with us in atlanta! we could do another shoot together. *c* - the camera loves you!!! obviously (see below)! i mean...seriously....

on the road again....

yes, it's true. my husband and i will be moving back to atlanta on march 1st.

we are really excited about this new journey in our lives. however, we are really going to miss all of our awesome friends here in jacksonville.

i am going to miss working with all of the awesome (ah photography) families i met over this past year. to all of you - thanks for allowing me to become a short part of your family as i captured you over this past year.

i have decided to travel back to jacksonville on a quarterly basis, hopefully. as of right now, i have a couple sessions dates scheduled to come back to the "best little big city."

i did a fun session for this family in downtown jax. they wanted an urban feel to their session so we went on a hunt for some cool places. i think i have a lot of new favorites from this session. isn't the mom so gorgeous! i think so too!

the bond of sisterhood....

any girl who has a sister knows what i'm talking about. yes, growing up can sometimes be annoying if you're the older one and your lil sis copies everything you do. but once you get older you adore those times. and cherish every second you get to spend with your sister. my sister and i are getting closer and closer, now that we are older. she's 8 years younger than me so i left for college while she was still pretty young. but now it's so fun to hang out together, go shopping, watch movies, send emails and text messages, etc. etc. if only we lived closer.

but this post isn't about me and my sister.

this is about *m's* new little baby sister. meet *baby g*! soon these two will be such good friends. have fun girls!

last weekend....surprises and neices!

last weekend ben and i got to go up to michigan to surprise my brother at his 30th birthday party. that was fun! he never expected us to be there, all the way from florida. love ya aaron! happy birthday - hope it was a good one!

then it was off to chi-town. ben had to train one of his employees for his company practical solutions and we got to visit our neices!

it snowed....a TON there! so i took lexi and ellie out to play in it! we really wanted to build a

snowman, but the snow didn't want to cooperate.

so we made a lazy snowman - laying on the ground! ha!

lexi and i really wanted to go sledding too - but we didn't have much time and there wasn't a big enough hill nearby, so instead i ran around in the snow pulling the sled behind me. she loved it - and it was a great workout - sheeeeesh!!!!

what about ellie you ask? well...this is pretty much all she does when she "plays" outside in the snow. she just stands there and watches. hey...to each his own. ellie is so cute! and she's lots of fun everywhere else! i just love that girl...everytime you see her you just want to "eat" her.

she had enough fun for one morning....

needless to say...time to go back inside and have some lunch!
